

Tactile Australia provides complete and customised solutions for your Tactile Ground Surface Indicator requirements. No single Tactile product is suited to all substrates, budgets and architectural aesthetics. With our experience and range of products we can design a solution appropriate for your environment which will comply with the relevant Australian Standard.
Design of tactile layouts
Our "In House" Civil Engineers oversees the design requirements of all our Tactile and Civil projects. Complimenting Tactile Australia's design service are our Field Installation Teams who have all been trained in the requirements of Australian Standard AS1428.4.
Civil works
Tactile Australia undertakes minor civil works in conjunction with Tactile installation. (Kerbing, Footpaths, Pram Ramps, etc) Our team consists of qualified engineers, concreters, plant operators and civil construction laborers’ able to undertake a diverse range of works for our clients. We have our own excavators, tip trucks, bobcat and minor plant to undertake your construction requirements.
Traffic Management
All our Field Installation Teams have completed certified Traffic Management training. Our "In House" Civil Engineer assists with Traffic Management plans and MOC's for speed reductions when required. We have arrow boards able to close down lanes for construction works.
Bus Shelter Installations
Tactile Australia has undertaken the regional bus shelter installation program for the Department of infrastructure now the Department of Transport throughout regional Victoria. We have also undertaken the audits of bus routes, and designs for compliance at these sites. Bus shelters have been manufactured and installed along with works.
Tactiles Range
Stainless steel studs, Superthin, polycarbonate, ceramic/porcerline, rubber/vinyl, and individual plastic studs.
Superthin tactile
Tactile Australia have developed and manufacture a super thin tile that can be molded onsite to asphalt, concrete, spray seal, brick and concrete pavers. The tiles can be colored to suit special requirements upon request. The Tactile Australia Superthin tactile tile is able to go straight over existing surfaces without excavation including service pits.
This system is compliant with AS1428.4 - Design for access and mobility code - (Part 4) "Tactile Ground Surface Indicators for the orientation of people with vision impairment." and is VICROAD approved
Stainless steel tactile studs
Tactile Australia's Solid 316 Marine Grade Stainless Steel Studs are available in both Pinned and Unpinned models, non-slip inserts, ringed tip and ringed side face models are available. Tactile Australis has undertaken installations on behalf of DTAC and other stainless steel manufacturers.
Polycarbonate tactile
Tactile Australia is an approved agent for Guardian Tactiles and utilise these tiles extensively on timber and inside buildings. Advantages of these tiles is the solid nature, resulting in less inclination of corners lifting when compared to rubber tiles. Adhesion is by butyl tape and is trafficable immediately.
Ceramic and Porcelain tactile
Tactile Australia has undertaken many installations utilising ceramic and porcelain tiles in road works and building developments. We are able to cater for the full needs of our clients.
Disability Access
Crossings, what other ones?
We can construct ramps and stairways, handrails and stair nosing to enable DDA access to building.
